Leadership Great Falls Update – 12/16/22

It’s hard to believe it’s December and that the Leadership Great Falls Class of 2023 is already at the halfway mark! Our December session, Government & Legal Day, touched on many facets of local government, law enforcement, and public safety that operate on a daily basis here in Great Falls.

The Class had the opportunity to tour both the Great Falls Police Department (picture 1–check out the view of the back seat of the GFPD cruiser) and the Great Falls Interagency Dispatch Center, where they heard from Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter (picture 2) as well as our local branch of Drug Enforcement Administration. The afternoon afforded the Class with a panel presentation that included the Public Defender’s Office, Cascade County Search & Rescue, and City Commissioner Joe McKenney, followed by a tour of the Great Falls Pre-Release Services Transition Center (picture 3). Thank you to everyone and each agency that took the time to be part of our session day and helped to educate future leaders of Great Falls about our local government and law enforcement.
